In complex conditions of market economy extremely significant is the problem of effective formation of product flows management system at industrial enterprises. Even those enterprises where this problem is solved at modern level have difficulties while finding ways of optimization of functioning of product flows management system in industrial conditions. The article correctly represents the target of formation of the product flows management system as well as requirements specified towards the system. Target formation occurs while defining criterion of appraisal of system effectiveness. The authors explore different variants to define the criterion (criterion of optimality, criterion of suitability, criterion of effectiveness). This scientific article contains calculation of integral index of effectiveness of product flows management system at OAO Kombinat “KMA ruda”. As private indicators are presented: timeliness of start and issue of orders, supply security, expenses for management of factory orders, quality of execution of orders.
