Subject. The development of tourist infrastructure in the Russian Arctic, improving transportation in hard-to-reach areas, and preserving unique natural landscapes.
Objectives. Developing recommendations for the development of certain types of tourism in the coastal areas of the Russian Arctic.
Methods. Tools for logical, spatial, and statistical analysis were used.
Results. For the Russian Arctic, the most promising directions are railway, volunteer, and eco-tourism. The possibility of expanding the 'Five Seas and Lake Baikal' program to include some areas of the Russian Arctic has been justified. It’s necessary to expand the national tourist routes system to a number of northern territories.
Conclusions. The increase in tourist flow should be seen as an important aspect of the economic development of the Russian Arctic.

Keywords: recreational potential, tourist flows, transport, infrastructure, Russian Arctic
