Subject. Structural changes in the labor market, the phenomenon of faster wage growth in some industries.
Objectives. An empirical test of hypotheses about the transformation of employee motivation under the influence of macroeconomic and socio-psychological factors, and the development of recommendations to ensure workforce stability in transport industry companies.
Methods. Questionnaire survey, in-depth interviews.
Results. The main factors that help strengthen the staffing stability of companies specializing in passenger transportation are stability, official employment, and the social-psychological climate. Negative information acts as a significant demotivating factor. A gap has been identified between employees' individual operational tasks and the company's strategic goals.
Conclusions. In today's economy, investments in human capital and developing 'internal talents' are really important. To reduce dependence on the external labor market, it's a good idea to create a system for internal training and staff rotation.
