Subject. Development of centralized heating systems.
Objectives. Analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of heating systems in apartment buildings. Determining the feasibility of operating rooftop boilers in regions of Russia.
Methods. Tools of mathematical analysis have been applied.
Results. The use of rooftop gas boiler plants reduces overall construction costs and increases the energy efficiency of the heating system due to the absence of a heating network. Autonomous heating provides an uninterrupted supply of hot water regardless of the season. Modern gas boilers are characterized by a high efficiency, which allows reducing heating costs.
Conclusions. In conditions of a prolonged winter period, characteristic of many regions of Russia, it is necessary to have an effective heating system for residential buildings. With the continuous rise in energy costs and the high degree of wear of urban heating mains, the transition to autonomous gas boiler houses is the most effective solution.
