Subject. Municipal formations as subjects of the economy, problems of improving the standard of living of the population. Objectives. Development of a methodology for determining the indicator of relative stability of socioeconomic development of municipal districts. Assessment of the socioeconomic potential of the Central districts of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Methods. Methods of economic and mathematical modeling were used. Results. A methodology has been developed for determining the indicator of relative stability of the dynamics of socioeconomic development of municipal districts. Calculations according to this methodology involve, in particular, the statistical processing of initial socioeconomic indicators, the calculation of integral indicators, and the application of various coefficients. A group of municipal districts characterized by the highest indicators of relative stability has been identified. Conclusions. To address the socioeconomic problems of the Central districts of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), managerial decisions are required related to attracting financial resources for infrastructure development, job creation, and the formation of favorable conditions for the development of entrepreneurship in rural areas.
