Subject. The problem of social stratification, the economic security of the Russian Federation. Objectives. Analysis of the dynamics of income inequality indicators for the period 1995–2024. Methods. Statistical analysis tools have been applied. Results. In the process of analyzing the array of statistical data on income inequality, a trend toward smoothing interregional disparities was identified on average across the Russian Federation and in individual federal districts. Conclusions. A single socioeconomic space has been formed on the territory of the Russian Federation.
