Measurement of regional economic security parameters taking into account the state of local healthcare

Subject. Improving the quality of life of the population, ensuring the economic security of the Russian Federation.
Objectives. Formation of an integrated index reflecting the impact of the development of the healthcare system on the level of economic security of the region.
Methods. Methods of economic and mathematical modeling were applied.
Results. A relationship has been established between the parameters of the healthcare system's functioning and the key indicators of economic security (indices of due diligence, financial risk, and payment discipline). An integrated index of regional economic security has been formed, taking into account a number of standardized and weighted indicators.
Conclusions. The results of the study can be taken into account by government authorities and territorial compulsory health insurance funds when assessing the efficiency of budget allocation and developing socioeconomic development programmes for the regions.
