Subject. Improving the efficiency of resource use, strengthening interregional cooperative links.
Objectives. Development and testing of a scientific and methodological approach to the identification of interregional industrial clusters.
Methods. Various methods of mathematical analysis were applied.
Results. It has been shown that traditional cluster identification methods, focused on regional localization, do not allow for an adequate assessment of emerging interregional production systems. The developed methodological toolkit includes an analysis of the spatial concentration of production, an assessment of interregional connections, and also allows identifying the presence of an institutional environment.
Conclusions. Within the framework of the composite industry, an interregional cluster is being formed, and the main sector enterprises are located in the Central, Volga, and Northwestern federal districts. The presence of a functional connection between the cluster and the aviation industry, automotive industry, space sector, and energy sector confirms the need for a comprehensive approach to managing interregional integration.

Keywords: industrial clusters, identification of industrial clusters, input?output table, localization coefficient, maximum method, inter-industry connections, spatial concentration
