Subject. This article discusses the issues of cooperation between the government, research centers, businesses, and society in the process of creating an innovative economy.
Objectives. The article aims to justify the need to create a digital innovation platform in the Donetsk People's Republic and identify its functional characteristics.
Methods. For the study, we used comparative and structural-functional analyses, generalization, and logical modeling.
Results. The article finds that the development of a digital innovation platform will expand access to digital services, increase the innovative activity of entrepreneurial structures, and strengthen the integration of the Donetsk People's Republic into the unified scientific and technological space of the Russian Federation.
Conclusions. The proposed concept can be used when designing strategies for the innovative development of new subjects of the Russian Federation and regions of special geoeconomic significance.
