Subject. This article discusses the issues of adaptation of light industry enterprises to current conditions, and the impact of light industry as an important part of the real sector of the economy on the development of regions and the country as a whole.
Objectives. The article aims to analyze the indicators reflecting the current state and development prospects of Russia's light industry in the coming years.
Methods. For the study, I used comparative and statistical analyses.
Results. The article identifies factors influencing the location of light industry enterprises in Russia, and it determines trends in production development and opportunities for increasing exports of products from the main light industry sectors.
Conclusions. The growth of light industry will occur due to an increase in domestic demand for products of Russian manufacturers.
