Subject. This article discusses the importance of national projects in improving the socioeconomic development of Russia's regions. Objectives. The article aims to form methodological foundations for monitoring regional dynamics, taking into account the target benchmarks of national projects. Methods. For the study, we used the methods of systems, comparative, statistical, and regression analyses. Results. The article presents a model for monitoring regional dynamics, which involves the use of official public information and statistical resources. Relevance. The results of the study can be taken into account by authorities to adjust regional economic development programmes and assess the effectiveness of the implementation of national projects in the subjects of the Russian Federation.
