Subject. This article discusses the prospects for quantum technologies application in various sectors and the development of methods for assessing the sustainability of urban development. Objectives. The article aims to develop a system of indicators that can help evaluate the usage of quantum technologies aimed at ensuring the sustainability of urban development. Methods. For the study, I used systems, comparative, logical, and statistical analyses. Results. The article presents an author-developed methodology for forming an urban development quality index that reflects the level of application of quantum technologies, and the urban development quality index values for major cities of the Russian Federation. Relevance. The results obtained can be used to determine the need for the application of quantum technologies and when developing strategic planning documents in the regions of the Russian Federation.
