Subject. This article discusses the issues of scientific and technological development of Russia and the use of the country's forest resources. Objectives. The article aims to analyze the global trends in the technological development of forestry-industry enterprises. Methods. For the study, I used the general scientific research methods. Results. The article finds that digitalization, environmentalization of enterprises, convergence of different fields of science and technology, and the creation of clusters are the main global trends in the technological development of the forestry industry. Conclusions. Comprehensive technological modernization of the forestry industry contributes to the improved competitiveness of enterprises and the enhancement of the consumer properties of products.
