Strategic priorities of impact investing in the regions of Russia

Subject. This article discusses the issues related to the social sphere’s development and investment resources formation.
Objectives. The article aims to identify non-financial factors that enhance the investment attractiveness of economic projects.
Methods. For the study, I used the general scientific research methods.
Results. The article finds that medicine, sports, education, and ecology are the main strategic ares of impact investing in the subjects of the Russian Federation.
Conclusions. Social and environmental factors must be taken into account when carrying out investment activities and preparing reporting. Impact investment yields returns comparable to market levels with a similar risk profile. To increase the investment attractiveness of social and environmental projects, a unified assessment of non-financial effects that are of the greatest importance to potential investors is essential.
