Subject. This article discusses the role of internal affairs bodies in ensuring the country’s economic safety. Objectives. The article aims to develop proposals to improve the system ensuring the economic safety of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Methods. For the study, I used the general scientific research methods. Results. The article states the need to use modern tools for macroeconomic analysis of issues of concern, risk-oriented technologies, and optimize management processes in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation system. Relevance. The results of the study can be used when developing documents defining the activities of executive authorities at the federal and regional levels.
