Subject. This article considers inflation as an important parameter of economic development.
Objectives. The article aims to develop a methodology for assessing the impact of inflation factors on the economic development of regions and examine the relationship between inflation factors and the level of economic development, taking into account the characteristics of three subjects, namely Population, Business, and Government.
Methods. For the study, we used the methods of logical, comparative, statistical, and correlation and regression analyses.
Results. Based on a correlation and regression analysis considering the subjects of the Ural macroregion, the article identifies a fairly close relationship between the factors of inflation and the level of economic development, and it finds that the areas and degree of influence of inflation factors on the processes of economic development differ by region.
Conclusions. Taking into account the factors that determine the nature of inflationary processes will help improve the efficiency of the regions’ economic development.

Keywords: regional development, subjects of economic relations, factors of economic development, Ural macroregion, interregional comparisons
