Subject. This article discusses the issues of development of economic cooperation between Russia and China and the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Objectives. The article aims to analyze the economic specifics of Russia and China and especially of the two countries’ border regions.
Methods. For the study, we used the methods of retrospective and systems analyses.
Results. The article identifies promising areas for the development of cooperation between China and Russia in the context of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Conclusions. The Russian Far East can become a base for the development of agriculture and new technologies, which will contribute to the development of education and the system of training qualified personnel.
