Subject. This article discusses the implementation of the economic potential of the Russian Arctic.
Objectives. The article aims to analyze the prospects for the development of core cities in the Russian Arctic, taking into account specific constraints.
Methods. For the study, we used the methods of logical analysis.
Results. The article describes the main reasons for the deterioration of the economic situation in the cities of the Russian Arctic and assesses the main phases of the implementation of master plans for the development of areas.
Conclusions. It is necessary to ensure the participation of the population and the business community in resolving issues related to the development of key cities in the Russian Arctic.
