Subject. This article discusses the issues of State industrial policy and ensuring the stable development of Russia. Objectives. This article aims to develop proposals for the implementation of the concept of sustainable development in the field of industry at the regional level. Methods. For the study, we used a statistical analysis. Results. The article establishes certain relationships between the country's economic growth indicators, production development, and the R&D financing, and it proves there is the need for State support for the system of staff training and advanced training, innovative development of regions, and organization of full production cycles in Russia. Conclusions. The results obtained are important for making management decisions aimed at ensuring the sustainable development of the Russian industry.
