Subject. This article analyzes the cyclical nature of urban development.
Objectives. The article aims to identify new areas for the development of cities of science and high technology.
Methods. For the study, I used the methods of general systems, logical, comparative, and multivariate analyses, grouping, generalization, expert assessments, and optimal control.
Results. The article proposes a methodology for constructing an economic and mathematical model of sustainable development of cities of science and high technology.
Conclusions. A self-developing innovation ecosystem will help ensure the sustainable development of science cities in the long term.
