Subject. This article analyzes the quality of life of the population of the Republic of Karelia.
Objectives. The article aims to identify key trends in the development of social infrastructure in the Republic of Karelia.
Methods. For the study, we used retrospective and statistical analyses.
Results. The article describes four groups of municipalities of the Republic of Karelia depending on the level of demographic well-being and social infrastructure provision.
Conclusions. The results of the study can be used by regional authorities when designing programmes for the strategic development of the economy.
