Subject. This article discusses the development of points of economic growth and the formation of special economic and legal status areas.
Objectives. The article aims to analyze the features of the functioning of free warehouses in comparison with special economic zones and determine their role in regional economic policy.
Methods. For the study, I used logical and statistical analyses.
Results. The article notes the expansion in the number of tools used to stimulate endogenous economic growth and describes the impact of free warehouses on the economy of the region.
Conclusions. Free warehouse is an instrument of regional economic policy that helps create local points of economic growth without the direct participation of the Russian Government.
