Subject. This article discusses the issues of improving the efficiency of production and economic activities and environmental protection.
Objectives. The article aims to find tools for the transformation of the modern socio-economic system in the context of the transition to the principles and standards of the green economy.
Methods. For the study, we used a statistical analysis, generalization, modeling, and classification.
Results. Based on the analysis, the article evaluates modern methodological approaches to determining the essence of green innovation technologies.
Conclusions. There is a need to formulate a clear regulatory definition of the term Green Innovation at the federal and regional levels.
