Subject. This article deals with the issues related to the economic development of the Northwestern region of Russia.
Objectives. The article aims to analyze the changes in economic indicators of the construction industry of the Northwestern Federal District of the Russian Federation.
Methods. For the study, I used retrospective, statistical, correlation and regression analyses.
Results. The article finds that labor productivity is a factor that has a key impact on the change in the growth rate of the construction industry.
Conclusions and Relevance. The article concludes that a high differentiation of economic growth rates in the construction industry is being observed in the Northwestern Federal District. The results of the study can be used by the authorities in the development of programs for strategic planning of the region's economy.
