Subject. This article discusses the prospects for innovative development of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Mordovia.
Objectives. The article aims to determine ways to optimize and improve the management of the development of the region's agricultural and industrial complex (AIC).
Methods. For the study, I used general scientific and ad hoc data analysis techniques.
Results. The article identifies priorities for the development of the regional AIC and determines the direction of cooperation between the regional authorities and municipalities within the strategic planning process.
Conclusions. The sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex depends on the management strategy effectiveness. Russia's agricultural sector undergoes a crisis. This requires improvements in strategic management tools.
