Subject. This article deals with the issues of growth of socio-economic indices and attracting investments for the implementation of important projects of the priority development areas of the Far Eastern Federal District subjects.
Objectives. The article aims to test the original methodology for assessing the investment attractiveness of the priority development areas, as well as identify factors affecting the formation of potential and conditions of the external investment environment.
Methods. For the study, I used my own method of assessing investment attractiveness, which includes indicators grouped into three blocks, namely investment potential, investment environment, and investment risk.
Results. The article defines priority development areas in the Far East of Russia that are the most attractive for investors.
Conclusions. The article concludes that it is necessary to develop measures to stimulate the investment activity of residents of the priority development areas.
