Subject. This article deals with the issues related to the socio-economic development of Russia's regions.
Objectives. The article aims to develop a methodology for analyzing indicators that characterize the investment force of attraction of the region.
Methods. For the study, we used an integrated economic and mathematical technique based on an analysis of the region's indicator proper states.
Results. The article proposes a methodology for analyzing the impact of socio-economic and environmental indicators of the region on its investment attractiveness. It demonstrates the use of this methodology through the analysis of the investment attractiveness of the Chelyabinsk Oblast by building an optimal model of socio-economic development and environmental safety using the proper state method.
Conclusions. The proposed methodology can be used for any region of Russia when determining the region's economic growth path and increasing its environmental responsibility.
