Subject This article deals with the issues of innovative development of socio-economic systems. Objectives The article aims to develop a methodology for assessing the level of innovative development of agricultural economic systems, which takes into account both industry and regional features of their functioning. Methods For the study, I used the methods of statistical analysis and mathematical modeling in economics. I also reviewed the fundamental and applied works by foreign and Russian researchers on the agriculture economy development. Results The article proposes a methodology of information and analytical research of innovative development of agricultural economic systems, based on a systems approach and taking into account the temporal, spatial, industry, and innovation perspectives. Conclusions The proposed methodology is flexible and adaptive. This helps project it naturally onto different levels of agricultural economic systems, take into account specific economic conditions and the availability of information and analytical tools. It is open both in terms of expanding its analytical capabilities and increasing its analytical capacity.
