Subject This article discusses the strategy of green growth as the main trend of advancement in the contemporary world and the ways to implement the conceptual provisions of the green economy model taking into account regional specific features.
Objectives Considering the Khabarovsk Krai as a case study, the article aims to analyze the peculiarities of the formation of a priority social and economic development area in accordance with the green economy concept.
Methods The information base of the study includes statistics from various official sources.
Results The article highlights certain problems of the formation of priority social and economic development areas, and it outlines ways to solve them.
Conclusions The analysis of the industry structure of priority social and economic development area projects in the Khabarovsk Krai shows that the area site profiles correspond to the key sectors of the green economy, but the tools that can ensure the green growth effectiveness are not considered in the projects.
