Subject The article considers methodological approaches to formalized assessment of reputation capital of territories.
Objectives The aim is to develop theoretical and methodological framework for formation and assessment of regional economic systems' reputation capital through defining the institutional and market factors that affect the nature and essential characteristics of parameters of territories' economic growth.
Methods We offer a version of conceptual approach to quantitative assessment of reputation capital of the territory, which enables a transition from qualitative to formalized assessment of progress of the investigated process. The study employs methods of economic and statistical modeling.
Results We assess the behavior of reputation capital of the Republic of Tatarstan from 2013 to 2017. The obtained data demonstrate an upward and wavelike trend in the reputation of the region. It is conditioned by divergent movements of key sub-index values.
Conclusions The developed and tested methodological tools for quantitative assessment of region’s reputation capital create a firm basis for academic studies aimed at the multivariate analysis of core drivers of territory's reputation.
