Subject This article explores the main positive and negative trends in and problems of rural development of the Krasnodar Krai.
Objectives The article aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the socio-economic situation of rural areas of the Krasnodar Krai, identify obstacles hindering their sustainable development, and suggest possible solutions to the problems.
Methods The study is based on statistics from official sources and regulatory documentation. It assesses the economic, social, environmental, and institutional indicators of sustainable development of rural areas of the Krasnodar Krai.
Results The article identifies and shows the main problems and headwinds holding back the rural development of the Krasnodar Krai.
Conclusions The article speaks about the need to launch activities to eliminate negative trends in the development of rural areas of the Krasnodar Krai. It proposes certain measures to ensure the sustainable development of the Krai's rural areas. The formation of human potential in the rural areas should become a new driver of economic growth.
