Subject This article discusses the issues related to transport and logistics infrastructure within the regions. Objectives The article aims to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current state of the transport infrastructure of the Krasnodar Krai in the context of spatial regional competitiveness analysis. Methods To study all types of transport in the territory of the Krasnodar Krai, we reviewed materials on the importance of logistics infrastructure in the spatial development of the Russian Federation and used the methods of SWOT analysis. Results The article presents the results of SWOT analysis of the transport and logistics infrastructure of the Krasnodar Krai. Conclusions The article concludes that the development of the transport infrastructure of the Krasnodar Krai is not consistent with the strategic objectives of the State in the aspect of spatial development. At the same time the Krai has a good capacity for investments in logistics advancement.
