Subject This article discusses the issues of labor migration of the population of Kyrgyzstan.
Objectives The article aims to identify and describe the main consequences of labor migration of the population of Kyrgyzstan in the context of socio-ecological and economic security of the country.
Methods For the study, I used a systems approach, methods of scientific abstraction, and the statistical techniques.
Results The article says that the integration processes in the post-Soviet space have a positive impact on the socio-economic situation of migrant workers from Kyrgyzstan. It reveals regional peculiarities of labor resources movement taking into account the specifics of socio-ecological and economic development.
Conclusions The overall trends, scale and socio-economic factors of population migration in Central Asia are manifested in the establishment of sustainable flows of labor migrants towards the Russian Federation. The demographic growth and redundancy of labor resources in the region against the backdrop of the post-Soviet republics being traditionally drawn towards each other are the important reasons. Global climate change can also have an impact on prospective migratory movements in the region.
