Importance This article addresses the issues related to the regional factors of entrepreneurial behavior of households in Russia. Objectives The article aims to develop an original interpretation of the entrepreneurial capacity of the household and highlight the stages of its implementation. Methods For the study, I used my own methodology, which helped assess the conditions in the region for realizing entrepreneurial potential. Results The calculated integral indices, including statistical and sociological characteristics, show that the Central Federal District is not characterized by the highest entrepreneurial activity, and the Southern Federal District is a region with great entrepreneurial potential. Conclusions The specifics and the most acute problems facing each type of Federal districts help formulate certain lines of institutional support to enhance efficiency of reproduction functions of households.
