Realization of the economic interests of regions as subjects of inter-budget relations in crisis: Problems and challenges

Importance The article considers the urgent problems hampering a full realization of the economic interests of regions in the sphere of inter-budget relations under crisis conditions of the Russian economy's development, and it offers certain approaches to their solutions.
Objectives The study aims to identify the problems of realization of the economic interests of regions as subjects of inter-budget relations under crisis conditions and find possible solutions by improving the system of inter-budget relations to overcome existing differences and harmonize with the economic interests of the Federation.
Methods The paper employs complex and systems approaches, as well as general scientific methods of abstraction, analysis and synthesis.
Results The paper shows the main problems hampering the implementation of regional economic interests in the current system of inter-budget relations in conditions of crisis development of the Russian economy.
Conclusions The paper concludes that in Russia, it is necessary to further improve the system of inter-budget relations by increasing the self-sufficiency of the economic potential of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
