Importance The article deals with the development of electronic interactions between the Government and business in the Northwestern Federal District.
Objectives The objectives of the study are to analyze the development of electronic interactions between the Government and business in the Northwestern Federal District, determine influence factors, consider the problems and prospects of development, and compare the openness levels of public authorities.
Methods The systems approach and statistical analysis methods are a methodological basis of the research.
Results Having analyzed the development of electronic interactions between the Government and business and official websites' information in the Northwestern Federal District, I found the factors influencing the development of e-Government in the District and show the levels of transparency of public authorities.
Conclusions Currently, the electronic interactions between the Government and business in the Northwestern Federal District are at the initial stage of development. The District's strategic development depends largely on the effectiveness of the introduction of new ways of interaction of business and the Government. Improving the provision of G2B services, taking into account regional features, would increase the investment and innovation attractiveness of regions, as well as will contribute to a favorable environment for business.
