Subject The article describes the results of the evaluation of engineering structure of the Russian Far East in dynamics for 2010–2015. The key trends of partial and single division of labor in the economy of a major Russian region at the present stage are a subject of the research.
Objectives The aim of the research is to identify, quantitatively describe and theoretically substantiate such trends in the economy of the Far East of Russia.
Methods For the study, I used methods of structural and general scientific analysis of the Rosstat statistics and applied financial and economic analysis tools.
Results I justify the actual change in structure and content of the machine-building complex of the Far East in the post-crisis period. The general trend of development of partial and single division of labor in the engineering industry in the region at the present stage is a simplification of its industrial and technological structure. The machine-building complex of Russia's Far East at the modern stage is to be considered as a set of six consolidated industries, developing independently.
Relevance The results of the work are relevant when planning industry studies in the region and rational organization of the machine-building complex of the Far East, and the realization of national interests in the economy.

Keywords: engineering industry, Russian Far East, structure, statistical analysis
