Subject The article assesses the social and economic security of municipalities of the Moscow oblast. Objectives The paper aims to estimate the level of this security in five municipal formations on the basis of aggregate integrated indicator. Methods For the study, I used comparative and systems analyses. Results I present the results of assessment of the social and economic security of five municipal entities, using an aggregate integrated indicator. Conclusions I conclude that the social and economic security level assessment using an aggregate integrated indicator contributes to well-founded administrative decision making.
