Importance The article covers the methods of evaluating the efficiency of the regional economy. Objectives The paper aims to develop a technique to evaluate the energy efficiency of the regional economy. Methods Nine principles of research using a correlation analysis served as a basis for my method: of the 46 original indicative figures, I selected three that have a significant impact on the level of energy efficiency: average cash income per month, energy consumption per capita, percentage of energy-intensive industries. Results As a result, I present a methodology to assess the energy efficiency of the regional economy. Relevance The proposed approach can be used to determine the level of energy efficiency and the search for reserves of growth of both the regional and municipal economies.
