Importance The article considers the indicators of social development of the region. Objectives The paper aims to develop a methodology of integral indicators of regional development and feasibility of its application. Methods For the study, I used methods of grouping, systematization, and comparison, as well as index and integral analyses. Results The article presents a methodology of calculation of integral regional development indicator and the substantiation of this technique. Conclusions and Relevance The paper concludes that the application of integral regional development indicator gives a clearer understanding of the regional development, due to a broader and balanced set of indicators. Calculation of integral regional development indicator can be used in inter-regional comparisons for a more objective picture, describing the development of a region and its position among other regions of the country.
