Importance The article studies the labor potential of the regional labor market. Objectives The paper aims to study the structural components of labor capacity to determine the development strategy for the labor potential of the Stavropol Krai, and develop a methodology for assessing it. Methods Analysis, synthesis and a systematic approach were the methodological basis of the research. Results I analyzed and highlighted the structural components of the labor potential of agriculture in the Stavropol Krai, depending on the total number of economically active population, the demographic composition, level of education, qualifications, etc. I present the main conclusions on the status and prospects of labor potential of the agricultural industry of the Stavropol Krai. Conclusions and Relevance I concluded that the vocational qualification component of labor potential of agricultural workers of the Stavropol Krai is at a low level. As a result, the career component also has a small value. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the qualifications of agricultural workers to achieve full compatibility of posts with qualified personnel.
