Transformation of functional representation of interest groups in the management of socio-economic processes in the region

Importance The article considers the issues of transformation and determination of the role relevance of group interests’ representation in the management of socio-economic processes in the region.
     Objectives The paper aims to justify the mechanisms, methods and channels of influence of functional representation of interest groups on the control system of socio-economic processes in the region.
     Methods For the study, we used a dialectic historical approach, synchronous-and-comparative, systems, and structural-and-functional analyses.
     Results We determined the dependence of the results of socio-economic processes in the region and the strategy of sustainable economic development on the degree of informed participation, social participation and the availability of appropriate institutions of functional representation of group interests, transparent mechanisms for the administration of the territory.
     Conclusions and Relevance We conclude that the institutions of functional representation of group interests, as an integral part of civil society and an important mechanism for its functioning and development, play an increasingly important role in the management of socio-economic processes.
