Analysis of the development potential and attitudes towards entrepreneurship in national economies

Importance The article evaluates and considers the prospects for the development of entrepreneurship, the ways to enhance its role. So germane is research business sentiment, as well as attitudes towards entrepreneurs in society.
     Objectives The goal is to develop tools and analyze a potential business growth in developed countries, allowing for an explanation of the prevailing patterns and trends on the basis of national and social characteristics.
     Methods The study used methods of processing results and comparison of indicators describing the attitude towards entrepreneurship. As input data, we used population and prospective entrepreneurs surveys, held in 2007-2013 in the Russian Federation, China, the United States, Germany, France, Great Britain, Spain, Italy, and Japan. In addition, we used comprehensive evaluations for a numerical experiment.
     Results The article presents the results of the analysis of the intentions and capabilities of the participation of individuals in creating own business. We analyzed the level of perception of entrepreneurship on the part of the population. We proposed integrated assessments of the potential for further development of the business sector in national economies.
     Conclusions and Relevance The results obtained can be used in theoretical studies and applied developments in the planning of sociological studies related to entrepreneurial activity, identifying the existing capacity building the number of entrepreneurs in the Russian Federation and its regions, as well as in the formation of relevant plans and programs.
