Importance Land improvement and urban greening create conditions for healthy, comfortable and convenient human life, being a crucial part of urban economy. Considering intensive urban growth, development of all transportation modes, environmental preservation and recovery gain special relevance and importance. Objectives The article focuses on land improvement, its interaction with other infrastructures and land improvement evaluation since the basis for studying urban economy was laid several decades ago, thereby affecting practical aspects of this sector. Methods Drawing upon the scientific cognition method, we determine how infrastructures interact, and develop a strategic map and a balanced scorecard indicating how the land improvement and urban greening infrastructure interacts with other infrastructures of urban economy. Results We point out infrastructures of urban economy that interact with the infrastructure of land improvement and urban greening, and propose a balanced scorecard for evaluating the effectiveness of their contact as part of urban economic development. Conclusions and Relevance The results will help more specifically plan joint operations of urban infrastructures, allow for comprehensive and social development of those infrastructures and the city as a whole. The infrastructure of land improvement and urban greening may be substantially developed by indicating the area of activities and strategic goals and implementing the mission. Many researchers elaborate on issues of urban infrastructure but focus on some aspects and segments of comprehensive urban infrastructure only. We believe that urban infrastructures should be studied jointly in terms of socio-economic processes, since they clearly and evidently operate as a network.
