Importance The article considers the interaction between the State and business at the national and international levels and the innovative mechanisms for regulating foreign economic activity as an effective lever in the development of the Russian economy.
Objectives The purpose of the paper is to define individual inconsistencies, problems, strategic reserves in the regulation of foreign trade activities in the regions, as well as the study of innovative mechanisms for the management of foreign trade activities in the Krasnodar Krai.
Methods For the study, we used the method of expert estimations.
Results We articulated joint objectives of the Government and business in the management and improvement of foreign economic activity and propose our own method of analysis to improve foreign trade activities by regulators. To strengthen foreign trade management, we developed models of interaction between the State and business at the present stage. We submit certain proposals for bringing regional legislation in conformity with international law and the advisability of establishing specific innovative regulatory FEA institutions at governmental and non-governmental levels.
Conclusions and Relevance We conclude that the use of the study's results in practice will contribute to the growth of the number of participants in foreign economic activity and the volume of foreign trade transactions and contracts, as well as additional investments, including small ones. All this will lead to a qualitative change in the foreign trade activities in the region and municipalities and the additional services in the field of foreign economic activity at the level of the competent entities (companies). The offered actions will help legislative and executive powers, and business to concentrate attention to practical changes of foreign trade activities. Potentially, the results are useful when forming new regional programs.
