Importance The relevance of forming cluster architecture of the innovation development of the region economy is determined by the need to move to a new format of the economic actors' interaction in the search for the effective methods and tools for the industrial and economic processes management in the context of an innovation economy. The State measures for the development of innovative clusters in the regions are rudimentary in nature, and they require an integrated approach to implementing the cluster strategies in a region. The research and development of a model of cluster architecture of the innovation development of economy has considerable theoretical significance and practical capacity.
Objectives The study aims at the economic relations arising in the process of forming cluster architecture of the economy innovation development of a region through the greater integration of cooperation between the innovation process participants. The objective of the study is to develop and validate a model of cluster architecture of the innovation development of the economy of the Krasnodar Krai.
Methods The article provides an analysis of the possible options of the cluster architecture formation of the innovation development of the economy of a region, and I have come to a conclusion about the need for the State participation in the cluster initiatives implementation. I propose a visualization mechanism of the innovation development of regional economy in the conditions of the cluster architecture formation, and also provide a model for creation of an innovative cluster and define the basic stages of the cluster architecture formation of the region's innovation economy.
Results I have specified the resource potential of the Krasnodar Krai's economy, which helped to substantiate the possibility of the formation of eight major clusters created on the basis of the sectoral specialization and development of the inter-firm cooperation ties. Each cluster encompasses the leading companies that are able to become the nucleus for the innovation development of the scientific and educational institutions of the Krasnodar Krai with the government agencies support.
Conclusions and Relevance I propose a model of cluster architecture formation of the innovation development of the region economy, which will permit to implement a conceptual review of the theory of innovation processes development in the conditions of the integration of industrial enterprises cooperation with the small and medium-sized businesses, science and education, the State structures and public organizations.
