Importance The questions of formation of the State policy, which impact the labor market and educational services market, continue to be relevant in the conditions of the national economy crisis. In the article, we cover the main development problems of the labor market and education services market interaction. Objectives In the article, we provide an analysis of the main directions of the State policy of the Russian Federation in the field of an employment of population to identify the most significant directions to ensure the labor market and educational services market interaction. Methods By means of empirical methods of research, we analyze the main directions of the State policy in the field of an employment of population and system of higher professional education development. In the research, while defining the main directions of the labor market and educational services market interaction, we have used the system and situational approaches. Results We have identified the priority directions of the State policy in the field of an employment of population, which, to the maximum extent, provide the labor market interaction with an educational services market. We have offered our own technique of assessing the labor market and educational services market interaction, and also have identified its development trends. Depending on the supply and demand of manpower of particular specialty, we substantiate the necessity of the forecasting and planning of the professional qualification of labor force in region. Conclusions and Relevance We emphasize the need of working out in detail of the State policy in the field of an employment of population and the development of higher professional education system at a regional level depending on evolving trends of an interaction of labor market and educational services markets.
