Identification of the problematic field of activity of the Kostroma region on the basis of the analysis of the dynamics of its socio-economic development
The research objective of the article is the identification of the underlying problems of the economy of a specific region the solution of which will help it to come out on a path of sustainable development. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to analyze the dynamics of the basic components of the socio-economic sphere of the Kostroma region. In the article through the analysis of statistical information and the views of experts, I defined the dynamics of the major indicators of socio-economic development and the capacity of the Kostroma region. I define the results of the work as the theoretical basis for the testing of new methods of development of the territories that do not possess significant resources. In the process of defining development priorities in the region, I have conducted a comprehensive analysis of the main socio-economic indicators of its development. A similar analysis one can conduct on the basis of the other subjects of the Russian Federation. The results obtained are helpful for planning the further development of the Kostroma region. The results of retrospective analysis allow making conclusions about weak resource potential and the absence of significant positive trends in the Kostroma region. Without action on the part of the authorities that might contribute to the negative development of the situation in the near future, therefore it is necessary to intensify the activities of regional and municipal governments, aimed at overcoming the negative trends and sustainable development.
