The article considers the status and main directions of transformation of the labour market in rural municipalities. The authors analyze the capacity of non-agricultural employment, seen as a necessary form of employment for rural residents, the development of which can contribute to solving the problem of unemployment and increase incomes in rural areas. In addition, the authors propose the algorithm for the study of the factors influencing the labour market of alternative employment.
