The article notes that the production of synthetic rubber is one of the basic positions of industrial sector of Russia which creates high value-added, export-oriented, competitive ability and has potential for development. At present, however, domestic producers of synthetic rubber face some challenges in the world market, which is expressed not so much in need of modernization of production, but rather the need for close collaboration with the consumer sector and the development of markets.
